Day 16 already! Today the card was playing board games, something I traditionally associate with holidays, especially summer at the beach. Hart decided he wanted to play cards which was fine by me. We played ‘Go Fish’ with the Ben 10 pack, a little tricky when I don’t know all of the characters lol. Really need to play games more often! Adding that to the resolutions for 2013.
Yay Day 14 was an extra book at bedtime, and we’re actually reading The Hobbit together (out loud) at the moment so we read extra long!
Hartleigh reads all of the ‘talking’ sections and I read the rest – it’s actually really lovely and a lot more fun than I originally thought it would be and it’s a lovely bonding time. I highly recommend it.
Day 15 was another favourite for me, watching a Christmas movie (spot the typo on the card – ooops). With a large number of Christmas movies now playing on all the channels we decided on an old favourite, and despite it not strictly being a ‘Christmas’ movie in the traditional sense, it definitely has a Christmas theme running through it. Hart and I love watching movies together!
Day 12 is another activity choice and this time it was to head to Joe’s Garage so it worked out to go do this after the final school assembly on Friday. We went with our friends Carla and LeStat. The boys draw and played while Carla and I righted the worlds wrongs. A lovely way to end the school year.
Day Ten was $5 to go shopping and this was almost harder than the $2 choice. We ended up at The Warehouse where I thought there would be plenty of options for Hart to choose from but there really wasn’t much – he was very good about staying within budget but with such a small range to choose from I actually felt a bit bad. Anyway he finally decided on a Trashy for $4.99, and was very happy at the end of the day.
