Since I haven’t done a Fashionista Friday for a couple of weeks, and the sun is shining beautifully here and it really does feel like Summer is on it’s way, I thought I’d share a bit of Spring fashion style with you. Spring always reminds me of the promise of things to come. Blossoms and daffodils which has laid dormant over the winter months start to bloom, the days get longer, the weather warmer and it’s the signal of long lazy summer days spent with friends and family, hours at the beach, and celebrations which for me is Christmas, going to the races, and at least one concert – usually to see my favourite New Zealand band – The Feelers.
This board is from Polyvore, a place I get lots of inspiration from but I haven’t created my own board yet – it’s on the ‘to do’ list!
There are so many things to love about this – the florals are romantic and girly, the muted tones are soft and feminine and the whole thing reminds me of being carefree, fun, and youthful.
I adore this ring!
I think it’s just so cute, and pretty and gorgeous! yep I like it a lot lol
What is your favourite element on this board? The dress, nails, sunglasses, necklace, heels? Let me know!
It’s the first of June on Friday! How are your New Year Resolutions going? Some of mine are going great, and others… no so much.
I always feel like the 1st of each month is a chance to reset things that may have slipped and the first of June will be no exception.
I plan to refocus on my goals, get back into a routine with the house, the stay on track with workload.
After participating in a ‘Canvas’ session last week I have a new business plan (still being refined and I’ll be blogging about it on my business website) and that has re-motivated me which will spread from work to home too.
Time to get everything back on track and in order, it always feels so good being on top of things!
That’s why I have a Yin Yang tattoo, it’s having balance in everything you do.
I don’t particularly make New Year’s resolutions as they are so loaded and it’s very easy to break them. However, I am moved to make some this year in order to find some balance. Here they are:
= I resolve to be a better parent =
– More patient, less grumpy, more fun
= I resolve to be more organised =
– Each week I will work at purging, sorting and organising my ‘stuff’
= I resolve to be more patient =
– Patience is a virtue I’d like in abundance this year
= I resolve to have more self belief =
– This year I will care less about people who do not care about me
= I resolve to work harder AND smarter =
– I’ll work hard to make my business even more successful in 2012
= I resolve to craft =
– Once a week I will spend time crafting
These are very broad I know, but it’s a start. I’ll review them in three months and see if I can make them more refined.
If you want to be successful, it’s just this simple: Know what you’re doing. Love what you’re doing. And believe in what you’re doing. — Will Rogers
I had a missed called from the Dominion Post on my phone last night, no message was left. So today I have been thinking about reasons that they may have called me and this is what I have come up with:
They wanted my opinion about whether Sam Morgan should be Prime Minister, my answer would be a resounding Yes! Not only is he a great entrepreneur, socially savvy and let’s face it just a little bit rich, he’s actually a very smart, switched on guy and I think a fantastic candidate to lead this country into the next phase of growth, which I personally believe has to be digital all the way!
Or maybe they were seeking my opinion on my regular tweets about “I Shouldn’t Be Alive” which I watch like a car crash – I know I shouldn’t but I can’t tear myself away – and I moan about each week. It just goes to show you can do some seriously dumb shit and still survive! I’m not sure if this means the survivors are meant to go on to do amazing things with their lives or their survival is just plain luck. Which ever it is, you can bet I’ll be watching again next week.
Maybe they were seeking comment on the life and times of a a social media addict with one or two too many Twitter accounts, two small businesses [one of course is a social media consultancy], one small boy, verbal diarrhea, an unhealthy attachment to her iPhone & wine and lives in a home nicknamed The Tweet House.
On reflection, they more than likely just called the wrong number and when they got to my message thought uh oh, we ain’t doing that!
Regardless sometimes it’s fun to just let your mind wander into the ‘a bit of fantasy’ for a while!
